Control Blemishes with a Blemish Control Cream

Nobody wants to deal with blemishes. Large, red, irritate spots on your skin are just embarrassing especially if you’re not a teenager anymore and figured you were finally done with all that stuff. But blemishes are not something that only teenagers deal with – more and more adults are starting to develop them as well. Unfortunately, while it’s very possible to control blemishes with a blemish control cream, there is no permanent solution for getting rid of some types of blemishes, such as rosacea.

What Are Blemishes?

Just like zits or spots, blemishes are basically imperfections in a person’s skin. There are different causes of blemishes as well. Sometimes they are caused by blockages in follicles or skin pores (these are known as blackheads and whiteheads.) Whiteheads are skin pores that are blocked by skin oil and dead skin cells. There are environmental causes as well – sometimes, pollution, stress and hormones all cause blemishes as well. However, no matter what type of skin blemish you have, you’ll probably be able to find an anti-blemish cream that works.

Good Blemish Control Creams

Before you go crazy buying all the blemish control creams on the market, speak to your dermatologist and see what he recommends. There are a lot of blemish control creams available on the market. Most of them aim at being organic or natural and try to only use ingredients found in nature. One company sells “Ocean Essence” blemish control creams that cost around $70 for 2 types of cream. There is also another cream known as Beauty Naturally which is more expensive but works extremely well. It also typically lasts a long time so you won’t be buying bottle after bottle. A company known as Bioskinclear has a whole host of creams that control blemishes. Klear Away is a blemish control cream that was created by L’Bri Pure n’ Natural and is natural as well. It uses aloe, papaya and willow bark to try and naturally clear out pores and get rid of blemishes.

As a general rule, when looking for a blemish control cream you should look for one that contains metronidazole. Metronidazole is extremely effective when it is applied directly to the affected area because it is a type of antibiotic that works as an anti-inflammatory, which makes it perfect for use in a blemish control cream.

You may have to try more than one blemish control cream before you find one that works for you. However, once you find a cream, controlling blemishes should be easy!
