Take Care Of Your Skin
Your hands and skin broadcast a number of things about yourself. How you lead your life and how you take care of yourself, even how heavy a smoker you are. It’s the skin that gives away your age, no matter how old you are and how much makeup you use.A good skin care regime will pay attention to the hands and feet.Having calluses on your feet for example causes uneven pressure when you walk or stand which can lead to pain when you’re on your feet all day. It’s the skin on you hands that is the most assaulted and abused. That’s unavoidable as you can’t work without hands. They let you eat, cook, greet others and play a vital role in communication.
Skin care products are therefore not just a desirable extra when it comes to your wellness regime; they’re an absolute essential that extends far beyond a manicure. The skin at the back of hands is very soft and thin and shows wrinkles very quickly while the palms are thicker and tougher. The hands do not have any sebaceous glands so they have no natural moisture and can get dry and rough very quickly. They need regular protection and lubrication, ideally as part of a spa day treatment programme. After any treatment, you should get into the habit of keeping moisturising cream near the hand basin and apply it whenever you wash your hands. After washing, pat dry your hands and massage the moisturiser into them.
There are a number of gifts for women that include spa treatments and products that can not only nourish and hydrate the hands and cuticles but also relieve aching joints. To keep up the good work that using skin care products has achieved you should always wear rubber gloves while doing any work around the house like doing the laundry or dish washing and always wear gloves when gardening.
On A Mission To Find The Best Skin Care Products?
You know, every single producer of skin care products will tell you with a straight face their particular line banishes the break-outs and will clean your skin and make it healthy. Also, they all claim to have the ability to take years off your skin’s appearance not to mention giving your skin the elasticity of youth. If you listen to the hype on television or read in magazines, it is easy to get confused. So are there any cleansers or toners the best performers if they all claim to be the best? How do you think you’re able to determine which skin care products work best for your skin? How do you know if all that money you’re spending is only an expensive way to clog your pores? Here are some very helpful skin tips to assist you with knowing the products that are best for your skin type, or not.
Hold on there, bucko! You really may not need 12-15 products to get great looking skin. You’ll need a good cleanser, of course, or a cleanser with good break-out treatment – but avoid stripping all the natural oils from your face, too. A standard over the counter cleanser is usually a good place to start. Make sure you are buying a product marketed for adults! Teen skin care products are harsh, and that’s too much for adult facial skin. Were you aware that you may be using a skin product that is not suitable for your particular skin type? If you’ve never determined what type of skin you have, and you’re not very familiar, then this may be difficult to do. You can see a beautician or cosmetologist to find out your skin type, then they’ll be able to point you in the right direction for skin care products that are best for you. Obviously these professionals are also sales people so they might try to sell you some heftily priced items that you cannot afford, but at the very least you’ll know which skin type to shop for from here on out.
Lots of people talk to their friends who have similar problems and see what they use on their own skin. Even if someone is embarrassed to discuss their skin care failures, you should be able to immediately know if they’re successes, or failures. Talking to as many people as possible is also a great way to get good reviews without having to spend a lot of money. With the information available to us today you can now find the best skin care products for your skin type with no problem. You might find the best product through trial and era or you might identify your skin type and research which products are the best match for it; either way you will find a winner.
Effective Natural Skincare For Men
Not so long ago most men were happy to wash their faces using industrial strength soap and then dry their skin using an old, coarse towel. Today’s modern man is far more likely to use a selection of face and beauty products carefully formulated to address the specific requirements of men’s skin.
Men have become aware of how much better their skin can feel and how great they can look if they pay a little attention to their regular skincare routine. Most regular soaps contain ingredients that are actually harsh and aggressive. While this approach may get the skin clean by removing grime and grease it will also strip the skin of its natural lubrication making it dry, flaky and uncomfortable.
Many men today have discovered that facial cleansers are a far gentler way to clean the face. It is worth remembering that not all cleansers are free of potentially harmful ingredients. These ingredients can include parabens, preservatives, alcohol, fragrances and mineral oils. It is always wise to be aware of what you are applying to your skin and how harmful it might be.
For example, mineral oil may make your skin feel soft but it can actually clog up your pores and lead to spots and soreness. Skincare products don’t actually need any fragrances and some can actually cause skin irritations and even provoke serious allergic reactions. Parabens are another nasty ingredient that are included to give products a long shelf life.
Increasingly, natural ingredients are being recognised as being both effective and non-harmful. When shopping for an effective range of mens skincare products it is recommended that you take a close look at the ingredients.
My personal favourite range of effective men’s skin care products comes from Elemis. They are becoming increasingly popular as ever more people turn away from aggressive products full of chemicals and instead choose skincare products that combine modern technology with natural ingredients. The Elemis range is used by celebrities and well known and respected beauty editors. People who are very familiar with current beauty products and who need to consistently look their best.
Why not follow their example and select a skincare brand that actually does what it sets out to do. A little attention to skincare is what every many needs to look his best.
Summer Tan Skin Care Tips
We all know the risks of too much sun, from the most extreme impact of skin cancer down to the cosmetic risks of making your skin appear dried out and leathery and making you more susceptible to lines and wrinkles. Regardless of the risks we still want that fashionable summer glow.
If you are going to indulge in a sun tan over the summer you’ll want to make it last as long as possible and with the extensive range of skin care products on the market you should find you don’t need to keep topping your tan up with harmful UV rays.
Your tan will be more healthy it you let it build naturally. Start the summer season or your holiday with a high SPF factor sun screen. Don’t rush to the beach on the first day of your holiday and cover yourself in oil; you will burn and it will be painful. Gradually reduce the factor but never get rid of it completely; you will still tan even with skin care products and sun screen.
By looking after your tan and some simple skin care you’ll be able to make your tan last a little longer. Your skin will have dried out under the UV rays so keep your skin as hydrated and moisturised as possible. There are a wide range of skin care products available on the market that are designed to moisturise and hydrate the skin and you ideally need to do this at least twice a day, use a skin care cream that’s rich in vitamin E as this is believed to help slow the aging process as well as hydrating and nourishing the skin.
Cut back on regularly exfoliating and try using a moisturising body wash instead. Your skin is always shedding dead skin cells, when you exfoliate you’re simply helping this process along. As it’s only that top layer of skin that’s tanned you’ll want to make it last as long as possible, use a moisturising body wash to hydrate your skin rather than your usual exfoliator which will remove the tanned skin. When you step out the shower, pat your skin dry rather than rubbing it vigorously with a towel as this will help keep your tan for longer.
Half the point of having beautiful sun kissed skin is being able to show it off with soft silky legs, unfortunately shaving is another sure fire way to make your tan fade quicker, try using an electric saver that plucks the hairs from their roots instead. Your razor is pulled over your skin which means your removing the top layer of skin as well as any hair, by using an electric razor to pluck the hair you’re leaving the skin and your all important tan in tact.
There are also little tricks you can try to help accentuate your tan, wearing white or any light colours will highlight darkened skin. Applying a fake tan cream or spray will often work more effectively and look more natural when it’s applied to skin which already has a darker pigmentation and using skin care products like shimmering body dusts can help give you that extra glow when lightly applied to your check bones or lightly brushed over any exposed arms or legs. If you really want to get the most out of your tan, spa breaks are a great way to pamper your skin and give you an extra lift if you’re feeling down after coming back from a great summer holiday
