Humidifiers Can Keep Your Skin Moisturised In Cold Weather
In the winter many of us get dry skin. It doesn’t matter how oily the skin is, if it is not moisturised properly it still gets dry. It is very important to keep our skin moisturised at all times. Humidifiers are one way of keeping the skin moisturised in the winter. The largest market for humidifiers or luftbefeuchter is the German market because of it’s weather.
During the winter we tend to keep the heater on most of the time when we are at home. From this your skin can get damages with dry skin and rashes. There are different types of humidifiers to choose from but my suggestion would certainly be the steam humidifiers. It boils water and releases the warm steam into the room. You can also make the air more fresh by adding Vicks on to the water. Or there is another humidifier caleld Vicks impeller you can buy. Impeller turns the water into the droplets which then slowly floats into the thin air.
The other two humidifiers which you can buy are wick/evaporative and ultrasonic. Ultrasonic is pretty silent when it generate cool fog out. Wick or evaporative system normally lets the air absorb moisture.
When you browse on the Internet you will be able to find different humidifiers. There is a huge competition on Internet market these days. You will most certainly find a really good price online. The best thing about humidifiers is that you don’t need a big space to store it. It can be installed as portable room units and it is also very small.
I installed humidifier in my living room last winter. Before that my skin used to get very dry in winter but last winter my skin stayed moisturised all day and all night long. It can be very useful if you have children at home.
Humidifiers can help protect your skin
Freezing condition of Germany can cause the skin irritation and dryness. Winter can even make nice moisturised skin dry and irritated. We are led to believe wearing various layers of clothing will help us keep warm and protect our skin from the wind or the cold. This is not entirely true we still have to moisturise our skin if we do not want the skin to go dry in the winter. Here are some advice on what you can do to protect your skin in winter.
Consume at least 3 to 4 litres of water so that your skin do not get dehydrated as it is the biggest organ in our body. Skin is always moisturised if you drink lots of water daily. When we do activities which makes our body sweat, it is very essential for us to replace the water we have lost through our skin.
Before you go to sleep it is very important to apply creams in our skin. I know most of us do apply creams during the day but sometimes we forget to apply at nights. Activities throughout the day reduce the moisture in the skin and this will continue if we do not moisturise our skin at nights. You will notice lack of moisturise when your feet starts getting dry and cracked.
Use humidifiers in your homes as air in the winter can get very dry. As the heater is almost on all day and night long it can cause drying effect on your skin, you will also feel your nasal passages getting dryer. To add bits of moisture to the air invest in humidifiers in Germany we call it luftbefeuchter.
Take showers with cool water. I know we all want to shower in hot water in freezing condition but it does not do any good to our skin, use cool water for shower so that it does not let our skin dry.
