Stay Healthy In Winter

If you live in a cold climate and you have central heating in your home you’ve probably noted that in the winter time your skin may get dry, as does your nose and throat, It’s not unrelated that many people catch colds and get ill when the central heating comes on for the first time. You assume your immunity must be pathetic because you’ve caught a cold at the first sign of winter but you may be suffering from central heating! The aridity that radiators are responsible for means that the moisture is drawn from your skin, nasal cavities and throat, even your hair can suffer too, becoming dry and dull. The dehydration makes the membranes itchy while the dried out dust that is normally suppressed by the air’s natural humidity is freed and travels around in convection currents which you then breathe in. This dust plays havoc on your throat and therefore you feel terrible. When the heating goes on at my house I get a headache for the first day, every year, without fail. There are remedies to this, favourite would be to move somewhere tropical like Brazil where domestic “Umidificadores” are unheard of. If you can’t do that, that make sure the house is well ventilated although turning up the heat and then ventilating it away again always galls me, you’re paying to heat up outdoors, and that’s called Global Warming. No, if youre’ going to stay right at home and not sit in a draught you should think about investing in humidificadores, luftbefeuchter and humidifiers. maintaining the humidity in your home will not only keep you, your family and pets from feeing sick it can also prevent warping in your furniture and it keeps your plants healthy too! Bear in mind that you shouldn’t keep them turned up too high or for too long, they might cause dampness but if you follow the instructions then your home and you should be just as well in winter as you are in summer.

Humidifiers Relieves You From Dry Skin

The heater is normally on all day during the winter at many households. This can cause a lot of dryness to your nose, throat, lips and skin. You will also have difficulty in breathing. You will realise when you blow your nose you will see dry blood coming out. You can put a wet towel in the heater to generate moisture or open the window for the moisture? Humidifiers or umidificadores known in Portugal or luftbefeuchter in German can help create that moisture inside your house or room to avoid dry skin.

There are other ways moisturise your skin and one of those is to put cream on your skin twice every day. Firstly apply the cream before going out of the house and then before going to sleep. When you sleep you spend 7 to 8 hours sleeping and in that time your skin will need moisture. And you have to spend 8 to 10 hours sometimes at work.

As I said earlier no one would like to open the window when the heater is on because you will be wasting the heat. The best humidifier to get is the steam humidifier with vicks, which not only warms the room up but also generates fresh air. This mean you will be saving both money and energy by not having the heater on all day long. We all know gas bills in the winter can be very expensive so this is one way to reduce the cost.

The popularity of humidifiers has grown massively because of the reasons above. The biggest market in Humidifiers at the moment is UK and Germany but South American countries are also getting there for humidifiers or humidificadores as they call it.
